New York dispatch reports unsettled weather Tuesday with moderate to brisk northeast winds for the first World Series game. Forecaster cautions that favorable conditions cannot be promised due to potential weather variables.

Bessie Tennessee October 6 Barry Whitson a farm hand wounded about six store loungers and was killed when he sprayed a crowd with a shotgun during a drunken rampage Sunday. The incident left multiple bystanders injured as Whitson fired into the crowd before he was killed.
Seaborn Wright of Rome, famed prohibitionist, argued a Floyd County case before the Georgia Supreme Court. If affirmed, it could shutter locker clubs and near-beer saloons statewide, as the Rome club contends its service fee is not profit and thus lawful. Wright vows a statewide wipeout of illegal locker clubs and saloons if the court backs the Floyd ruling and clarifies locker-club limits.

Anniston October 6 John B Knox noted he has received many letters urging a Senate bid but he does not feel inclined to enter the race under present conditions. The noted constitutional lawyer clarified he will not run for the U S Senate this year.
A. Hi Henslee, juror in the Leo M. Frank conviction, denounced Frank amid many observers. Solicitor General Hugh Dorsey prepares to counter the defense motion for a new trial. Frank’s lawyers say Henslee and Jo Benning’s prejudice may justify a new trial. Grand Jury session delayed while Dorsey and Stephens review reasons and prepare final evidence.
