George M. King a 58 12 Alabama street resident and longtime abstract lawyer was found dead in his room after being missing for more than a day. The coroner's jury attributed uremic poisoning. Survived by wife Anna M. King and daughter Mrs Robertson. Funeral arrangements to be announced. King was a Capitol lodge Odd Fellows member.
A St Louis couple Edwin Richards and his wife refuse to care for their four-days-old son. They declare they want the child adopted at once, deny buying clothing, and say the baby is ill with a cold. Nearby neighbors Thomas and wife Mourning celebrate their nineteenth child.
Four workers were killed in a boiler explosion at a Mobile area factory early today. Three died instantly and the fourth succumbed within an hour, authorities reported.
Rev Charles Raymond pastor of First Lutheran Peoria faces fresh charges from church members. Northern Illinois synod probes allegations of improper conduct, living beyond means, owning car and diamonds on an $800 salary. Committee includes Dornblazer Keller Brancamp Holtgrieve Berkman. Buffalo police patrolman N Claus was shot to death on his beat. Suspects Steve Gerrezzesak and Stan islaus Konieczaka, both 22, were arrested. The incident occurred on November 20 in Buffalo, New York.
In Columbus Muscogee county, R B Land A B Land W L Land and Lee Lynn are tried for murder after a mob lynched T Z Mekthany a sixteen year old Black boy on August 13. Earlier Cedron Land son of W L Land died June 22 and McElhany confessed to killing him with a shotgun claiming accidental homicide. McElhany was convicted August 18 and sentenced to three years, sparking mob violence that night resulting in the lynching of the suspect.
A Washington Georgia fires injure no one and destroy St Josephs academy as five score sleeping students are awakened by a veiled sister. The nuns guide the girls to safety while neighbors help battle the blaze. Loss tallies over 85 000 dollars.
St Josephs academy draws many Atlanta girls to its classes as a fire at a local school breaks out. Father Guinan of Sacred Heart church got early word by long distance telephone as flames raged. Students from Atlanta include Elizabeth Miller, Helen Sharp, Dorothy Bailey, Leta Bricken, Mildred Sault and Thompson.
Buffalo scene reports a murder case from Lackawanna involving seven year old Joseph Josephs. J Frank Hickey is the indicted suspect. Foreign residents threaten to lynch the accused upon arrival at Erie county jail in Lackawanna. The supreme grand jury returned a first degree murder indictment against Hickey.
Cincinnati Ohio November 20 Mrs Harry Jackson faced the death of her twenty year old pug Monkey after spending 8 000 on doctors in a vain effort to cure the pet. An elaborate funeral was held for the dog.
Worcester Mass November 20 John Woo a grocer killed his wife and baby boy by saturating their clothing with chloroform and then committed suicide with the same drug.
