Frank's attorneys Friday opposed each other in the Federal Court as the Texas Oil Company sought a bill of equity to stop T. E. Purcell from pursuing his Fulton County Court case. Luther Rosser for the Texas Company and Reuben Arnold for Purcell argued over a contract for 49 000 barrels of gasoline. Purcell says the company failed to deliver, the price rose, and he could have earned about a quarter of a million dollars profit.
The Atlanta Kennel Club hosts a charity dog show at 168 Peachtree Street raising funds for the Home for Incurables. On the Cunard liner Mauretania arriving in New York Ping Pong a three month old Pekinese pup and former embassy mascot in London was presented to Miss Jessie Wilson as a bridal gift by embassy staff.
Charles G Gates who died two weeks ago left his fortune equally to his mother Mrs John W Gates and his widow Mrs Florence Hopwood Gates. The mother acts as executrix. Estimated estate value ranges from 3.9 to 5 million dollars.
A revised death count lists seventeen dead and about two hundred injured from the Central of Georgia wreck seventeen miles southwest of Eufaula. Public investigation began at Clayton with Central of Georgia officials overseeing. orders barred disturbance of wreckage to keep the inquiry unobstructed.
