Real Estate Booms Along Ponce DeLeon And West Side

In Atlanta real estate activity shows steady gains. On February 24, 1912, a Ware & Harper client bought the southwest corner of Ponce DeLeon and Highland Avenues for 15000, resold for 18500 on May 11, and Dr M A Massoud later bought frontage for 16500 with 100 by 90 foot remainder. Massoud refused 18500 for the corner five days later. Other trades include 53 Orme Street for 5500, 27 Winder Street for 1050, and a planned factory at Bishop Street with a 99 year ground lease and a 60000 annual payroll. Building permits issued include a 9000 hall association brick building, 3000 Capital City Laundry alterations, and two small dwellings. South Side progress features paving talks, West End growth, and the Selig Apartment project nearing second story. The Ansley Hotel opens June 30 after a $1 million investment. A 136 acre North Fulton tract hits the market, and Peachtree Road work toward Buckhead nears completion with convicts widening the route.
