MILWAUKEE June 6 Mrs Mary Bentkowski wandered city streets in a nightshirt with her 4 month old baby left in bed. She told a policeman she must perform penance to reach heaven and was taken to Emergency Hospital for examination of her sanity.
A bronze statue with blue eyes will be unveiled in Reservoir Park as part of the Naked Truth monument to Carl Schurz Emil Pretorius and Carl Daenzer. The eyes are highly polished, with black pupils and blue irises for a startling effect. The statue was modeled by Wilhelm Wandschneider of Germany.
Lancaster, June 6 Mrs. Louisa Scheetz widow of Alderman Scheetz who refused a $200 claim as unjust was examined in court under a 1913 act. She admitted carrying $5,700 in cash which she kept to avoid execution and not put in a bank to avoid attachment.
In St Louis on June 6 Dr Purley A Baker head of the Anti Saloon League of America argued that women vote dry because they have more sense than men. He cited Illinois where he claimed the dry victory came mainly from newly enfranchised women voters.
In Waltham Police Court three year old Charles Purdy was mentioned as a smoker when his grandfather Hugh Purdy faced arraignment on charges of giving a cigarette to a minor and assault. The case was brought by Mrs Amanda Graves, Purdy’s sister in law.
Seattle June 6 Mrs Anna Valentine wife of L L Valentine a Chicago furniture maker was awarded 5000 by a court for the loss of a little finger crushed by a spring door in April 1911 while traveling from Portland to Seattle The judgment against the Northern Pacific Railroad reflects the事故

Dr Oscar Strauss heads a company of Milwaukee capitalists with 200000 dollars capital which has purchased the radium from European supply stations. The corporation plans a radium institute to treat diseases. Radium valued at 400000 dollars per gram. Milwaukee supply cost 200000 dollars.
In Boulder Colorado June 6 August Herrmann a wealthy farmer north of Boulder has secured his third divorce in fifteen years from Mrs Wilhelmina Herrmann. They married in 1899 both over 60 and have children from former marriages.
MEMPHIS June 6 The Safe Blowers' Club the newest social organization here held its first meeting last night No man can belong to it who has not had his office safe robbed The club has been organized by members of the Building Material Club During the past month ten safes in building material offices have been blown The robberies amount to several hundred dollars.
A human skeleton dressed as a graduate hung from the ceiling in Stone Chapel at Drury College in Springfield Missouri. Stolen from the college laboratory during the night the prank disrupted exercises. Investigations are underway with possible expulsion for involved students.

Each jack supports four tons with heavy felt pads, and iron supports sit inside the glass case surrounding the bell. St. Louis, June 6. Representative Richard Bartholdt, of St. Louis, runs a campaign against his own renomination from Missouri's Tenth District. He maintains headquarters to fight his bid for Congress and has hired extra typists to inform friends he will not seek renomination despite long Republican wins. Last December he declared he did not wish to be a candidate, provoking a flood of protests.
