A 28 year old former Atlanta resident named Elmer Zimmerman jumped from the 15th floor roof of the A. Long Building in Kansas City. She entered the lobby minutes earlier, rode the elevator, and after a descent to the roof, leaped to the sidewalk below. Pedestrians witnessed the fatal fall.

Massillon Ohio February 10 General J S Coxey leader of the famous army of the commonweal from Massillon to Washington in 1894 today announced his candidacy for Governor of Ohio subject to the Socialist referendum Plans for his proposed march of the second army of unemployed from Massillon to Washington in the interest of nontaxable bands and Government owned banks were progressing He said that a woman's band of 40 members would play and a chorus of 1000 men under the leadership of M. Maxson would sing the Marseillaise on the march. Miss Eva O Skelton chief nurse of the Red Cross Hospital was arrested Tuesday by Marshal Dan Goodlin of the criminal division of the Municipal Court on a warrant sworn out by George B Gatling of No 55 West Harris street in which she is charged with obtaining money under false pretenses. Miss Skelton's bond was fixed at 500 which she gave with Dr Lingo superintendent of the hospital as security. Gatling alleges that while he was a patient at the Red Cross Hospital Miss Skelton borrowed 200 from him on the understanding that she was to make him joint beneficiary with her sister in a 1000 life insurance policy. Later he declares he learned that she had not paid any of the premiums on the policy. Miss Skelton asserts that she borrowed the 200 from Gatling and gave him her note and nothing was said about a life insurance policy. }
The Railroad Commission will hear Thursday arguments from the lines over why the Governor should not sue them for withdrawing mileage pulling privileges in Georgia without the Commission's consent. The roads contended they violated rule No. 14 by withdrawing public pulling rights without consent. Eminent lawyers from both sides will attend the hearing.
