Atlanta mayor approves urgent Negro hospital plan in Grady area

Mayor Woodward announced Atlanta will immediately provide a contagious disease hospital for Black residents. He toured a city-owned building near Grady Hospital, saying living conditions for Negroes need attention but costs are small and a quick conversion is possible. First parcel post baby travels free in California

In San Francisco on February 4 the first parcel post baby in California moved from Elmhurst to Hayward without charge.
