GADSDEN ALA Feb 2 Judge Thomas Ventress died from burns and companion George L Cox was injured in a fire at Attalla this morning. Two brick buildings were destroyed with about 10000 dollars in losses. Ventress about 65, first abstractor of Etowah County and a political figure, perished in the hallway. The blaze started from live coals falling from a grate as the pair slept on the second floor.
