Four trainmen and several passengers were hurt when Southern Railway No 18 bound Jacksonville to Cincinnati collided with an open switch and struck a freight train in Macon yards. R L Barnwell of Atlanta, special Royal Typewriter representative, was among the injured and taken home for treatment.

Choir Boys Strike Over Rector Dispute at St Marks
In Chicago on August 31 a five member strike leadership committee will block three church entrances to St Marks Episcopal to keep 44 choir boys from entering and singing during services. At Witzels Grove College Point L I a Fat man Alderman Frank J Dotzler weighing 381 pounds won a steak eating contest. He devoured nine and a half pounds of steak nineteen rolls three pounds of potatoes eleven cups of coffee and retained the lead over rival Jack Probs who ate seven and a half pounds of meat eleven rolls ten cups of coffee but no potatoes. Fifteen contestants entered the Federal club event in the Sixth Republican district.
