Fort Worth Texas September 28 Special United States Senator Bailey telegraphed William Jennings Bryan in Lincoln Neb indicating willingness to meet Bryan in joint debate in the new Atlanta auditorium. The Young Men's Democratic League of Atlanta invited them and a formal invitation would be sent by Charles W Bernhardt president. Bryan indicated readiness to accept and would answer Bailey's telegram today.

Prisoner Stegall, Sheriff Thurman, Bond Fails

Stegall and Sheriff Thurman failed to report to District Attorney Tate as planned to secure Stegall’s freedom on bond. The pair were to be brought to Atlanta, but disappeared during the transfer, with Stegall last heard from in Chattanooga being interviewed and seeking the sheriff. Federal officials await further word as search continues.
