The basement sale lists C Rogers best Tea Spoons six for 75 cents and Dessert Spoons Forks six for 1.50. Table Spoons Forks six for 1.70. Dinner Knives six for 1.65, 12dwt silver plated. Carving sets with stag handles priced at 5.25.
We will display Monday on our third floor the finest women’s ready-to-wear outside New York City. Buyers were first in markets this season and learned Dame Fashion trends for fall. Our ready-to-wear stock is large, prices are the lowest in the South, and sales to date are treble any prior season.
A catalog notes silk and taffeta petticoats in black and colors with hemstitching tucks and accordion pleats. Prices range from 350 to 1 000 in various specials and sales offered in multiple finishes.
The advertisement markets dozens of new shirt waist styles in French flannels and taffeta silk waists, with velvet ribbons and embroidery, priced from $1.50 to $10. It also advertises heavy winter blankets and comforters, including California wool blankets and gray blankets, promoted as special Monday bargains with multiple price points.
We are sole agents for the celebrated Redfern Corsets. Prices range from 2.50 to 6.00 with a full stock including Thompson's Glove Fitting Warner's Rust Proof and others. Special Monday sale offers 500 pique Corsets in pink white light blue and lavender lace trimmed at 45 cents. Fitting room connected with Corset Department and free fittings.
A grand line of French and American robes on display with exquisite spangled nets mousseline and velvet combinations. Skirts and waists elaborately trimmed. Handsome line of robes exclusive and not seen elsewhere with prices from 85.00 down to 20.00.
Walking skirts of high grade material with new flounce and stitching offered at seven dollars. Monday only, sale highlights include suits, goats, and other items in the department.
Readable ad note lists long coats at varied prices from 5.50 to 50, new three quarter coats in Kersey cloth with satin linings, fall jackets in wool jerseys, raglan coats, silk dresses and skirts, tailor suits in Covert Cheviot and Pebble Cheviot, Louis XV suits priced up to 75, and assorted dress goods including broadcloths, Venetian cloths, and flannels with Monday specials.
Advertises Monday sale of black dress fabrics with wide ranges and low prices. Highlights Exquisite Blacks Swansdowns at various prices, handsome broadcloths 1 to 4.50 per yard, and specials on Melton Cloth, all wool serges, coating serges, plus Granites Armures Boucles and more. Includes B Priestley’s black goods in Henriettas and Serges.
Crowds flocked to a Friday Saturday underwear sale with many items selling out yet ample stock remaining for Monday. Women’s undergarments include knit vests and pants in various wools at reduced multi price points, with some slight soiling noted. Linen sale features bleached damask, napkins, and table linen at deep discounts, plus extra fine satin damask and linen napkins offered for Monday only. Hotel and restaurant buyers urged to attend.
Bargain page highlights Satin Mantel Sears patterns at 25 cents. Latin Liberty Ribbons 34 to 4 inches wide at 46 cents. dark outing flannel wrappers and skirts with deep ruffle featured. Monday specials include 60 cent on the dollar mens, womens, and children's winter underwear.
Hosiery buyer purchased direct from a large mill a batch of about 500 dozen women and children's stockings at reduced prices. Monday offers include Ladies Black Stockings in Maco yarn with double soles. two pairs for 25c. Hermsdorf velvet finish hose two styles 25c per pair. Boys ribbed hose extra heavy with double knees and soles, two pairs for 25c. Pony stockings for boys and girls touted for durability.
Silk department offers Liberty Latin and Peau de Sore silks priced 59c to 1.25 per yard with many autumn shades. New Imperial Silks and waist silks advertised. Black silks including Armures and Duchesse up to 1.35 yard, special Monday selections at 1.00. Taffetas and Velvets highlighted with 75c to 1.50 yard specials.
Catalog notes yard wide Silecias at 25 cents per yard gray and black. Percalines in autumn shades and black at 35 cents per yard. Taf feta linings offered full yard wide in all colors at 10 cents per yard. Spun Glass Linings resemble Silk at 30 cents per yard. Mercerized Sateens 60 pieces in autumn colors at 25 cents per yard. Canvases described as linen and guaranteed shrunken from 15 to 25 cents.
Cress showcases trimmings from bands, appliques, spangled overs, to Renaissance and Arabian effects. Includes cream lace bands with hand painted Persian designs, rich cream laces, mousse line and silk effects, black and white trims, Renaissance collars and bolero jackets.
