A Buffalo, New York to St. Louis passenger train collided with an open switch west of Ostlin, Illinois, crashing into a freight train. Dr Crenshaw badly injured in Piedmont Ponce de Leon crash

Atlanta physician Dr Hansell Crenshaw sustained a severe facial cut and was knocked from a streetcar when a Ponce de Leon car collided at Piedmont and Ponce de Leon avenues about 6400 block. Other injuries were minor as the disturbed car moved off the track. witnesses say the Ponce de Leon car slowed for alighting passengers when the Piedmont car struck it.
