A Macon Leigh of Charleston Mississippi was shot near his home Thursday night. Vernon White, 19, son of Rev. T Ward White, a popular Presbyterian minister, is accused of the robbery murder. Leigh died. $800 was found near the fence. Vernon and his father were captured at Oakland and Vernon escaped by hotel back entrance while his father faces charges. A $500 reward is offered.
