Dead Angle of Kennesaw Visited by Old Veterans
Survivors of Colonel Dan McCook's brigade from Illinois Indiana and Ohio, about 150 strong, arrived in Marietta at the battlefields around Marietta to view sites and plan monuments. The McCook Brigade Association, linked to the Kennesaw Mountain Association, owns 65 acres at Dead Angle of Kennesaw west of Marietta. They will mark points of interest and positions, later placing a general monument and tablets. The group includes units from the Eighty fifth Eighty sixth and One Hundred Twenty fifth Ind and Twenty second Indiana and Fifty second Ohio. They attend a Court House meeting and a services at the national cemetery, joined by Parker's brigade Monday.
