The notice highlights a fall stock with large size and rare variety, praising past efforts and promising a big demand. Plaid goods are in fashion while Novelty Suits from Europe by Mr. High generate buzz in Atlanta as Dress Goods arrival promises elegance and style tomorrow.
About thirty days ago we secured from Arnold, Con stable & Co. the Atlanta agency for their well known Monopoly Black Silks. These goods are foreign made, high grade, $1.75 a yard upward. For durability, lustre, texture and appearance no superior article. We guarantee wear with every yard. In cheaper Dress Silks one special 20 in. Black Gros Grain at 99c. a yard. We assert no better quality for less than $1.35 a yard.
A large imported fall stock is shown featuring Priestly black dress goods and Henriettas from low to high grades. The exhibit includes a wide range of novelty black goods designed to attract discerning buyers.
As cold weather approaches the public wonders where to trade for dress goods blankets and related items. The piece notes competing claims about stock size and prices but dismisses such advertisements as money wasted.
Our Cloak Department this season shall be our pride. We have fitted a handsome cloak room on the second floor 25 feet wide by 150 feet long devoted to cloaks and wraps. The immense variety of shapes and materials prevents listing prices but we are ready to supply the multitudes with garments ranging from cheapest to finest. Next week is opening week and we invite inspection of this mammoth stock.
We note fierce competition in Atlanta and pledge honest representation, courteous service, timely goods, and fair prices. Our fall stock is larger and better assorted than ever, bought with diligent research and matched with any first-class dry goods house in the South.
On account of mill strikes and transportation delays our fall stock arrived late. We faced a cyclone week with late fillings from manufacturers. The Triumph 11-4 white at 150 par, Household price 77-4 8,680 pair, High Lang 10-4 2.00 par, Housekeeper 117-4 495 par. We claim the Housekeeper Blanket offers the best value and other popular brands are on hand.
This season features medium weight knit underwear addressing the former complaints of heaviness. Ladies rib vests 48c, cashmere 78c, scarlet pants and vests from 5c to 2.50 per garment, natural wool in ribbed and plain, fancy wool vests in bright colors, plus gents underwear and furnishing goods. Men's 10c linen collar remains top value with new neckwear selections.
The store defends its shoe department against the idea that a Dry Gods Store is no place to buy shoes. It cites customer satisfaction and quality brands, highlighting Ladies O K Kid Button Shoe at 1.98 and Gents Calf Congress at 2.50, among hundreds of styles. The fall stock offers wide variety and economy, second to none in the market.
