Rome Ga September 18 The Central railway controlling the Central of Georgia Railway is surveying a straight line between Cedartown and Sprite in the Rome division. The project aims to tap the Floyd and Chattooga section and shorten the distance between Atlanta and Chattanooga by about thirty miles. Through traffic will use the new short line while the Cedartown to Rome segment remains in service.
No. 38 departs Atlanta Terminal Station daily at 11 01 a m and arrives in New York at 12 30 noon Eastern time the following day. Southern Railway operates the service.
In Dublin on September 18 Warren Wright and Seaborn Highborn were accused of held up farmer Bem Wood on a public road east of the town. Wood, returning from Sub-A, had $388 in his pockets after selling cotton. The robbers boarded his wagon, choked him, and rifled his bundle. Bloodhounds and a posse from Reniror pursued and captured the two suspects, but the money remained missing.

A controversial group calling itself Allintai plans to form a city based organization to guard the interests of various local classes against perceived unfair prosecutions. The first meetings drew about 600 attendees, with officers yet unnamed and a treasury reported at 84,000.
