Walthour Defeats McLean In Fast 25 Mile Race
Bobby Walthour defeated Hugh McLean in a motor-paced 25 mile event at the Coliseum Providence last night by twelve and a half laps after McLean fought a strong opening ten miles. Walthour rode wide mugs and posted a rapid pace as the southerner pulled away. About 4 000 fans watched an exciting ride with no records broken despite the quick miles.

Registration Rush for Atlanta City Primary Ends Tonight
Registration offices report heavy turnout as voters rush to qualify for the October 1 city primary. An estimated 4,000 additional city voters may register tonight, with total county registration around 7,500 for the last primary. The American Cycle Manufacturing Company, Chicago's largest bicycle factory, was placed in receivership by Judge Jenkins on the application of Henry S. Rowle. Receivers R. L. Coleman, A. A. Pope, and John A. Miller were named to take charge, with Coleman Pope and Muller holding most of the capital stock.

Hightower Surrenders in Gault Killing Case
Wil Hightower surrendered to Deputy Chastain after being implicated in the September 15 1900 killing of Charles Gault outside the city. Hightower and two Osbornes were sought. their whereabouts are unknown. Gault lived on Emmett Street and died from a pistol wound after pursuing the trio. Pue heard the shot. Authorities expect to arrest the remaining suspects and close the case.
