Chicago September 15 Bryan and Bourke Cochran planned a joint debate on trusts at Central Music Hall. The audience filled the hall as Bryan spoke at a separate session after agreeing not to debate publicly that night. Cochran addressed the crowd, arguing that combinations may be good or bad and urging government intervention to curb abuses. He pressed for publicity on public-franchise contracts as a remedy.
