Houghton heir and prominent banker’s son to wed in Atlanta
The eldest son of the late George G. Houghton, former president of the Wisconsin National Bank, hails from a venerable Northwest banking and social family. He and his bride plan an eastward honeymoon tour before settling in Atlanta. Mrs. Mikell hosts at the Piedmont Driving Club in compliment to her sister Mrs. V. C. Badham of Columbia, S C, with a six handed euchre and a salad course. Capital City Club prepares a grand buffet luncheon during horse show week, a popular seasonable entertainment with decorations, menu and orchestra. A white cloth top coat, oyster white, with silk cords and a double cape collar, is described for matinee wear suitable for horse show events.
