Old Soldiers March Before Jeff Davis In Macon
The Macon tribute to Jefferson Davis drew thousands as veterans and residents lined Mulberry Street. A parade, badges for Davis family, and touching scenes at Hillcrest followed by a torchlight procession showcased Georgia’s Confederate memory and the Davis welcome amid rain and cheering crowds.
