Mrs. Edson Taylor, 60, rode a six foot barrel through Niagara Falls' rapids, landing safely at the American side. She suffered a scalp wound and minor injuries but will recover, saying she would not do it again though she hoped it would help her financial situation. A second Bay City resident, Anna Taylor, claimed she took the plunge to gain money to save a mortgaged Texas ranch.

Porter King Dies Sudden At Home In Atlanta
Hon Porter King prominent attorney and Georgia state legislator from Fulton county died suddenly at his home after a day of illness. He attended yesterday’s legislative session and planned dinner with friends before a fatal decline.
