A telephonic dispatch reports George B Warner, convicted killer of Pulaski Leeds, escaping from the hospital for the insane in Louisville last night. Warner, an electrical engineer with Indiana ties, unlocked his room and fled via the basement before 9 30. Police broadcast his description nationwide as the man who faces a death sentence but is deemed insane by a commission.
In Decatur October 23 burglars robbed stores of cash and goods totaling several hundred dollars. Wallameon and Echols lost about $100 in clothing and cash.
