Three Chinese men are charged with the murder of a Chinaman at French Bar last summer. The trial starts in Clinton, BC, on Wednesday. Reports say the two younger prisoners induced the older to accept the crime, with the two younger paying the elder for his help.

Police and Zion guards blocked exits as hundreds surged, Carrie Nation attended and clashed over questions. Parkhurst denounced Dowie in a lengthy letter, calling the speech debased and unchristian.

Officers found her asleep, carried her to a waiting hack, and then to the station without a warrant. She was convicted at trial after offering no evidence. Burned to Death in Home Brookdale Ala October 20 a man named McAvoy was burned to death in a house fire discovered by a train crew on the Southern railway. his family was away at the time.
