County to keep free water supply at next board meeting
The Board of Water Commissioners rescinded a prior vote cutting off the county’s free water service by a 5 to 1 margin. City Attorney says the city has no legal right to supply water free to the county or to any charity operated institution. A coal-fuel plan was discussed as a precaution to prevent pumping outages if railroads confiscate coal to haul mail. The board will visit the dam on the Chattahoochee river next Thursday and will not meet with Forrest Adair as previously arranged.
