Murder of Miss Mary More by William Henry Harrison

In Boone County Kentucky a man named William Henry Harrison stabbed to death Miss Mary More at Major John H. More’s home after pursuing her for marriage. Harrison, once seen near the house in a tense mood, forced entry, slashed multiple times, and fled after Mary and a crippled brother tensed for help. Harrison later confessed to killing her and attempted suicide, ending up in a cistern. Major More is sought, and Harrison is jailed for the act.
