A special stockholders meeting of Union Cotton Mills, under trustee of the Union Cotton Mills Company, was held to discuss reorganization. The accountants reported assets of 2 700 000 and that the mill had operated at a loss from frequent speculation, with 800 000 in losses since January. President Duncan was shown indebted to the mill and to the Buffalo mill for large sums, while some stockholders demanded his resignation. A new slate of officers was expected the next morning.
