In Macon Georgia on Thanksgiving week Floyd Jones was acquitted in superior court of wrecking the Dixie Flyer. A man claimed involvement earlier but the verdict freed him while his wife reportedly gave birth to a baby as the decision was announced. The wreck occurred last April in Macon yards near the Massachusetts mills, when a broken switch sent the train toward a string of cars. Shot by Mistake for a Burglar in Macon
