In Rome Georgia on November 24 a commission form of government was approved by voters 920 to 34, a 36 point majority. The new system takes effect April 1 1918 with a chief commissioner earning 2900 dollars annually and four assistant commissioners at 25 dollars per month each, replacing the mayor and council.
