A packed two cent admission theater in Bilbo s Spain collapsed into panic after a film fire. About fifty children and others were killed as people were crushed during a chaotic rush for exits. The operator extinguished the flames, but crowd control failed and authorities struggled to recover the dead and injured. The operator and staff were detained for inquiry.
An unidentified White man was struck by a street car on South Pryor Street near Rawson. He suffered a scalp wound, a crushed foot, and a broken jaw and was taken to Atlanta hospital. The man appeared unconscious. no identification was found on him. The accident occurred around 7 o clock when the street car was on Georgia Avenue heading south on Pryor Street.
The Atlanta Ad Men begin a three day campaign to raise 25600 for the Associated Charities. Twenty teams of three men and several women’s teams start at 9 am from 122 Peach Tree Street to canvass every street and business, aiming to harvest subscriptions. They have already raised over 1000 and expect to finish strong with a parade and street carnival along the White Way next Thursday evening.
Mia Brown Mrs Edward Brown and Miss Alice Little walked home from Walton Street when a stranger insulted Mrs Brown. Both Browns struck the man who fled toward Five Points pursued by Mr Brown through Decatur Broad and Alabama to the Terminal plaza. They reported the incident to police and the man may be identified.

Winchester Ky November 24 Deputy Sheriff George M Hart was killed instantly when a shot from ambush struck him as he stood on the principal street corner. He had spent the day pursuing five alleged burglars from a home near Reddax, where another man was shot. Police suspect one or more fugitives fired. Two bullets struck Hart, one through the abdomen.
A tablet in memory of Mrs Isadore Straus and her devotion to stay by her husband on the Titanic was unveiled at the Daughters of Jacob home in New York. The relief portrait honors her life as beautiful and her death as glorious with many prominent Jewish citizens present.
A softly spoken Georgia corn club the Georgia corn show committee seeks homes for 700 Georgia corn club boys from prominent agricultural families visiting Atlanta December 4 and 5. A telephone corps member asks, Will you entertain some of the visiting youths? Continued on Page Two.
