A prominent Rome young man aged twenty six Edmon ton tried to kill himself by swallowing twenty grams of morphine during a personal crisis on November 22. He had been drinking heavily for a week and was in a despondent state. His brother summoned physicians and there is a chance he may die from the overdose or be struck by a freight train en route to recovery.
A torchlit procession of whites and blacks through Atlanta culminated at the warehouse for a prohibition meeting.
