In Guiren Georgia on November 16 special report states Dave Berry is charged with inveigling a mulatto girl about thirteen or fourteen named Mary Brown who disappeared months ago. Authorities suspect Berry carried the girl from Chaney Redmond’s home toward Simon Cole’s area near the experimental station and may have murdered her. Berry denies knowledge, while Chaney Redmond claims to have seen him with Mary Brown prior to her disappearance. The case remains unsolved with Berry held for investigation.
In a chaotic incident at Biddich, Georgia Sanders fired at clerks in Hagards store as panicked townsfolk struggled to disarm him. A volley wounded several, including a young woman, while mass confusion and scattered shots prompted calls for help. Deputy Shen tolders and a posse pursued Sanders. Williams died, and the town faced a tense aftermath.
