Sandersville Georgia November 15 Miss Mattie Salter died today two miles east of Sandersville from a rifle wound inflicted by her brother twelve days earlier. John Salter laid a loaded rifle on a bed and after dinner aimed and fired harming his sister who was in an adjoining room. He said he did not know the rifle was cocked. No coroner's inquest was held as the death was ruled accidental and due to carelessness.
In Memphis on November 14 the missing from Monday night’s fire have been located except a young man about eighteen from St. Louis who was in the YMC A rooms when the blaze started.
