Ratification Victory in Alabama Narrowly Redefined
Joy sweeps Alabama as reports show the new constitution approved by about 27,000 votes. Proponents hail a cleansing of polling fraud, while opponents claim continued struggle and state-wide doubts persist about the process and future enforcement. General Shelley contests the result, listing counties with anti-ratification majorities, while Chief Proponent Underwood tallies statewide gains and pledges progress under the new suffrage provisions.
