Detached personnel procured civilian clothing and several uniforms were recovered from a station and a wharf. The unit is slated to depart for the Philippines next week as if undisturbed.
November 10 Kokomo Indiana reports natural gas failing in the northern Indiana field. The Dietrich syndicate will abandon plants in smaller towns leaving families to endure cold with scarce coal and wood. The syndicate controls gas grants in over twenty cities and towns, shutting off factories hotels and public buildings in Indianapolis and causing widespread gas shortages statewide as pressure falls from 32 to 18 pounds per square inch.
