The Georgia versus Tech rivalry peaks with the Grant Field showdown. Georgia enters as favorite after beating Auburn, while Tech fights injuries and aims for a strong defense led by McWhorter and Johnson’s possible return. Clemson looms for Turkey Day as Atlanta braces for a slate of big games.

Raleigh awaits as the University of North Carolina and North Carolina A and M meet in their annual clash. Both squads own strong records and are evenly matched, making the state’s outcome harder to predict than the Georgia Georgia Tech rivalry.

Negroes prepare for Emancipation Day week of November 17 in Atlanta under the Home Institute auspices. Prominent Georgia educators clergy and businessmen will give addresses at a program modeled after northern events. The New York legislature funded $25,000 for the celebration and many states may follow. The event is set for the motordrome.
