New Traffic Rules for Auto Owners in Atlanta

Atlanta businessmen join the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce and city council committee to revise traffic regulations. A key aim is prohibiting curb parking on main streets to ease congestion caused by parked cars blocking streetcar tracks. Proposals include garages on side streets, with J R Smith planning a 200-car facility at Walton and Bartow to serve nearby offices. The plan also features traffic whistle signals at crossings and road work like regrading Spring Street to create a parallel boulevard easing Peachtree Street congestion.
