Speer Questions Treasurer Park in Pointed Letter
J. Speer, in Columbus Georgia, writes to State Treasurer B. B. Park defending his public statements about Park's handling of state funds. He challenges Park on bank deposits, the act of 1893 limits, and the use of assistants, asserting the deposit to a broken bank was improper and that Park bears responsibility for costs and potential losses. He demands scrutiny of official acts and refutes personal attacks, insisting his critique concerns state finances and legality.
