Defense Shows Hand in the Trial of Wood

The trial centers on Frederick E Atteaux who allegedly received checks from the American Woolen Company and was hired to aid a dynamite conspiracy aimed at blaming textile strikers in Lawrence. Witnesses testified that Atteaux was paid for legitimate factory labor dispute work, with vouchers matching earlier payments. The defense argues Atteaux acted in a genuine capacity under president William M Wood, while the government links the payments to a broader conspiracy involving Wood and others.
