At the First Methodist church quarterly conference in Atlanta the board of trustees was authorized to sell the Peachtree and Pryor junction church property to E P Black for 100000 and use part proceeds to buy the Venable lot at Peachtree and Porter Place for 28000 as the site of a new church. Black to pay 15000 down. ten months for use of the old building. Venable lot deemed most economical with 140 by 210 feet and a corner at Peachtree street.
