The Kentucky Baptists celebrated the state's 100th anniversary of the first Baptist sermon preached near Harrodsburg on May 25, 1776. Services were held in Louisville at Walnut Street Church with Rev. W.O. Hickman noted as the state’s first Baptist preacher.
