National Theater Owners backs first class shows in south
Robert Moran notes a split between national managers and Shuberts. The National Theater Owners Association comprises about 1,500 house owners who will book all first class attractions. If a producer’s show merits it, southern circuits will provide top dates. Notable stars such as Margaret Anglin, Bessie Abbott, Gertrude Elliott, Crystal Herne, H B Warner, Wilton Lackaye, Dustin Farnum, Viola Allen, Walker Whiteside, Mantell, and Grace George will appear under Liebling and Brady management in upcoming southern engagements.
