Rome Georgia May 21 Special The complete official program of the coming convention of hardware dealers has been issued The business portion was organized by a committee T G Greene C M Tillman and R W Watcher with social events arranged by the Rome committee Wednesday May 25 events include invocation address of welcome by J N King and Dr A W Van Hoose roll call and committee appointments followed by talks from W W Watt and others An automobile ride and social functions precede the executive session and officer elections Thursday May 26 features addresses on manufacturing development in the South exclusive agencies marketing and credit management with a Coosa river boat ride and further talks by Norvell Norvell Shapleigh and Belknap officials.

An auction of the Dobbs Land Company's property yielded twenty seven lots sold for a total of 8116 dollars. The sale took place yesterday afternoon near East Point facing the car line and St Francis street. Steve R Johnston acted as auctioneer keeping the crowd engaged and Ralph Cochran conducted the ante. Many buyers plan immediate improvements on the purchased lots.
