Supreme court upholds power firm in street railway dispute
The Atlanta Railway and Power Company wins two key cases. The court affirms the superior court on the right to build and operate lines in public streets. Cherokee Avenue is public and may be used by another company with consent. The Washington Street case allows track laying with city authorization and charter rights, despite private property objections. The decision may hasten work on Grant Park rail expansion.
