Washington May 12 Springer committee today heard Foreman Hutchinson and witnesses Walsh and Bliss discuss bribery schemes involving Brady Hines and other contractors on a Santa Fe to Prescott route. Walsh detailed advances, pay increases, attempted subcontracts, and threats, noting Bradsuspended pay, investigations, and later political fallout. He described bribery pressure, attempted settlements, and his ultimate decision to resist Bliss and Merrick, predicting further indictments if justice is uneven.
