Jomelli Evening Culminates Festival Closing Concert
Mme Jomelit and Signor Zenatello headlined the final concert of the festival with an audience in intense enthusiasm. The orchestra and chorus impressed, the Tschi kowaky Symphony Pathetic was a key feature under Mr. Olsen, and Jomelli’s aria from Der Freischutz drew long applause. Zenatello offered short numbers with strong recall, while the "Pagliacci" aria and "La Tosca" pieces showed beauty but left the crowd desiring more. The Lucia sextet and the Messiah chorus provided a brilliant finale, as Louise Dooly notes.

Brilliant close to the festival in Atlanta concert a triumph
The Great Southern Music Festival drew vast crowds with Zenatello, Jomelli, and Lawson delivering vivid operatic arias and encores. Guth piains praised Jomelli’s performance, while Zenatello impressed in forceful numbers. The Dresden Choral and orchestra shone, and a ceremonial gift to Professor Barnes capped the closing. The afternoon program featured Frieda Langendorf and other soloists, with the festival regarded as a remarkable financial and artistic success.
Last Matinee Performance Shines at Muale Festival
The Muale Festival drew a large audience for the matinee with encores for every number. Schubert's Gafnlahed Symphony was the artistic gem under Victor Ha Clark, whose refined tone and sensitive phrasing impressed despite some listeners' earlier fatigue. Freischutz overture and Die Meistersinger prelude opened and closed the concert brilliantly, with Frieda Langendorff delivering operatic color and Frederic Heating praised for his voice before his Dixie aside. Franklin Lawsen's tenor was uneven, while Mezzosoprano and Chopin ballad performance pleased, and the orchestra maintained high standards throughout. Lovibe Dooly.
