Gaynor and Pal Nearer Georgia Extradition Hearing

Man saves negro from mob with rifle in Chicago

Schaffer of the Chicago Team Owners Association stood in his doorway with a rifle to shield an unknown black strike breaker from a mob of more than 1000 neighbors near 2722 Fifth Avenue. Police escort led the rescued man to a street car as a second strike breaker hid in a cellar and was also removed by a women escort. Both men were reportedly beaten later by strike sympathizers.

Helen Post to Face Jury Trial Ordered by Moody

In Jacksonville Florida on May 4 Attorney General Moody ordered District Attorney Siripling to proceed with another trial of Helen Wilmans Post convicted of using a male for fraudulent purposes and sentenced to one year and one day.
