Assessors to Ask Increase in Returns for Central System
Comptroller General Wright studies taxation returns for the Georgia Railway and Electric Company and the Central of Georgia Railway. City assessors urge including electric light plant in Georgia tax rolls, arguing March 1 stake tax basis. Central's total returns reach 13,406,020.50 with notable rises for Savannah to Macon, Savannah to Tybee, and Macon to Athens, offset by declines elsewhere. Nashville, Chattanooga and St Louis portion sold for tax in Alabama, not Georgia.
