A two year old girl, Florence Iva Gilbert, fell from a front porch banister onto a brick sidewalk. Fireman Cal Varnadoe carried her into the house. John White a negro convict escaped from DeKalb county convict camp after striking Officer James L Baxter with an iron bar in Atlanta. A $25 reward is offered for his arrest and Baxter’s condition is listed as serious but improving.
