Soldiers Wanted for Fort McPherson Regiment

The Municipal Government acted to secure a United States regiment for Fort McPherson last yesterday morning. The post has lacked soldiers since the Spanish American War. With regiments returning from Cuba for the summer, a regiment may be stationed at Fort McPherson. The mayor telegraphed Congressman Livingston to use influence, and a delegation from the general council may go to Washington if needed. If Livingston delays, a special council session could be called to consider visiting Washington.
