Police Chief shelving wholesale watch changes
The police chief will issue an order today on quarterly watch changes. After initial reports of a sweeping reorganization affecting the day watch and sending patrolmen to new shifts, he now says only very few changes will occur. The plan to rotate all men or remove night work is dismissed as unlikely. Captain assignments are listed for each watch, with sergeants White, Beavers, McCurdy, Moss, Abbott, and Brenning slated accordingly. Further changes will be announced Sunday, April 1.
